THE FARM

Surprise! The farm isn’t in the ocean, rather the Natural Reserve of Michmoret, located on the coastal strip between Tel Aviv and Haifa, in Israel. Water from deep in the Mediterranean Sea is filtered into special land-based eco-pools where Seakura´s Sea Lettuce and Organic Red Seaweed grow under a controlled process that balances the water´s properties and circulation with the density of growth and exposure to the sun. All this carefully supervised to comply with industry standards.

SUSTAINABILITY

Seakura’s sea-lettuce and organic red seaweed are grown in land-based eco-pools, putting no pressure on marine resources or the ocean’s surface. Have a second helping, because we can grow more without jeopardizing the local ecosystems.

ORGANIC & QUALITY CERTIFICATION

Seakura seaweed is Organic-certified under the stringent Secal Israel Inspection & Certification programme, and is compliant under European ‘BIO’ standards. No animals are harmed in the production of Seakura seaweed and we have yet to hear any complaints from the seaweed.
